Steven Berner, President of Toolbelt Media, Inc. has worked in media for over 30 years, the majority of them in the Hudson Valley. Toolbelt Media was founded in the fall of 2003 when Berner realized he could harness his experiences and skill set to help clients via his own advertising agency. Because of his involvement in more than one medium, Berner favors no particular medium for advertising; Toolbelt will use the media appropriate for your business, goals, and budget.

Berner has been a disc jockey on radio stations in major, medium and small markets. Starting as a disc jockey for a jazz show on a college radio station in 1972, he went on to professional positions at a variety of radio stations: Top 40, adult contemporary, easy listening... he's worn many hats behind the microphone.

From the Studio to the Streets
Tired of playing the latest one-hit wonder records, in 1984 Berner went over to the "other side" of the radio station: ad sales and management! His intense experience in writing powerful radio copy and producing memorable commercials has paid dividends for advertisers since the early 70's and continues today.

Putting together a smart, thoughtful on-air ad schedule with great production was valuable to the station's clients and is experience he taps at Toolbelt. His resume also includes management of cable television advertising departments. He's no stranger to effective TV commercials and TV ad schedules that work.

Toolbelt's print ads for its clients have been seen in major regional magazines, The New York Times, and various local papers. Our philosophy is that every ad for a particular client, no matter what medium is being used, should have "conceptual continuity".
